After a good nights sleep I wake to mum banging around in the kitchen. Eggs on toast she says? I'll give her eggs on toast. Over breakfast we decided to go for a drive up the coast towards Picton to see if we can find some bigger shops as we had 2 days to go and still had money to spend. The trip up was beautiful. The coast line was sharp, rugged and the surf was high on a black sand beach. With the mountains stretching beside us. The ocean was 3 tones of blue. We watched a seal colony pups playing in the water while we admired them from the lookout. As we came inland the scenery changed to mountains and vineyards as we went into Blenheim. We both found it easy to spend our money. We both bought rings, mum bought a bracelet and I bought 2 pendants. 2 hours up, 2 hours there, 2 hours back so we better get moving. Seemed alot faster coming back. It was just on dark so we went out to dinner. Well now the fun starts. We got 80kg of gear to fit into 3 20kg bags. It's now midnight so we better get to sleep. We going to Christchurch in the morning.
