Today we had a early start. 03:30am!!!!! This was not a happy time believe me. Once we got moving we got a limo to the GOLD COAST AIRPORT. once there we booked in. While we were in line we meet a group of guys that are going to Auckland to compete in a shooting comp. They were about to book in when they realized that Charlie did not have his passport. They had to drive 20mins away to get it then get back and book in, in time for the flight. You will never believe who is sitting behind us on the flight.... Charlie. They are real characters lol. I had to get some paperwork signed by customs..... They wanted to know why I had so many cameras lol. They have obviously never had a plater on there flights before. I was like 'I am using them to take pictures' he asked if I was going for business or a holiday. On our way to the plane mum blew a shoe. She looked down and her shoe and the sole of her shoe could talk to each other. Anyway we got through ok and are now flying over a lot of water.
After 3 hours nothing but blue water and white cloud it was amazing to see land. It looked so beautiful. Everything is clean, green and looked like a English country side.
Then the fun began.
Ok we arrived and finally got through customs and that was the most fun so far. Firstly we got picked up in a..... I don't know what to call it. A mini van that was like a delivery van by a really nice girl that took us to meet mother Dracula that told us what car we could have and not what we requested. Then mum thinks that I turned into the driver from hell with 2 near misses, and only we would arrive at knockoff time so we had to drive to the city at peek time with cranky, dangerous drivers and i had to sit in a car with a freak that now needs 2 blood pressure tablets instead of one a day. I kept stalling the car and mum would say 'just ride the clutch' Now we are in a hotel on the 5th floor with windows that don't open and a portable 30cm air conditioner that has a loose ball bearing that rattles. Thank god the night is going to be cool. My mistake they just upgraded our room to air-conditioning and 3 beds.
Tonight we went to Ramam Bar Restaurant. And Everyone spoke mandarin and we were the only one's speaking English. It was really nice listening to the different language. Mum asked a group of people if she could take a picture of them. It was funny cause she started to talk to a young guy that was there. He leaves for Sydney on Saturday him and his girlfriend. He had lots of questions about Auz. Nice group of kids. The most beautiful Japanese food we ever had.
