Today we had a really early start. Getting up before the sun did.(6:00am). We decided that we were going to detour across the island to Waipoua Forest. We wanted to see Tane Mahuta Giant Kauri tree. We had to drive through alot of rainforest up a massive mountain to get to it. As we were driving up the mountain there was alot of misty air. You could see where the clouds met the trees. There was a heavy fog today and when you looked over the sides of the roads, because we are on mountains and it was a long way below where the fog laid it looked like umm..... Puffs of cloud that were shaped like pools of water. We arrived in Auckland and went to Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic encounter and under water world. It was really good. We got to see penguins and lots of them. There was alot of different fish and it was well looked after. After this we went shopping and I bought some chocolate. We decided that we were going to go up the skytower. What a big mistake that was. We got our tickets and headed for the elevator. We got in and I told mum not to look as there was a glass plate in the floor. Then we were off. Next thing I knew there was glass sheets all around us and you could see yourself going up. Mum wouldn't look and I saw and nearly had a cow. Lol. When I stepped out of the evaluator mum started to walk off and my legs went from under me and I burst into tears. One of the attendants grabbed me as I was going down. She got me a chair and offered me a drink. Hence I spent the entire time with my back to the wall and trying to take photos. When it was time to go down we had to take the service elevator because I couldn't bring myself to go in it again. I have never love the ground so much. I could of kissed it. This is an experience I will NEVER do again.

Carol Mara, You have to do these things once in your lifetime. Life is to short to wonder What If. So u were not impressed with the glass lift and all the time u were worried about the old sheila with u. But at least u give it a go. Keep having fun over there.
