Hi guys. So today was a pretty relaxed day. We slept in until 8:00am. We took it easy driving around town looking at thermal hot springs and bubbling mud, That yesterday we had to pay for. The museum was fantastic. We didn't quite make it to the roof for a look because you had to go up narrow stairs and there was a lot of work being done. After this mum took some pics for a group of kids on a school trip from Canada. One of them offered to take a pic for us and when she was finished another young girl came over and asked if she could also take a pic of us. She just wanted to play with the big camera. After this we went and had a look at the rose gardens in Rotoura. There were so many different colours and they are very beautiful. Then we drive around Rotoura lake and had a look at the boat ramp. There were so many birds and I have never seen so many black swans in one area. We also saw the paddle steamer going out onto the lake. After a nice lunch we left and headed to Taupo 86km. On the way we called in on boiling mud, Huka falls, the honey hive, the prawn farm and volcanic activity centre. When we arrived at Taupo we went for a thermal spa, mum had a rest after this and I went to dinner at a local Irish pub. The food was delicious.
