Day 45 - Broome

Rog cleaned the car and then we realised Bronte lost her thongs so we went to Bunnings to swap our first gas bottle then drove back to The Port and sure enough Josh found her thongs on the beach.

We then had another swim at Cable Beach and the kids found their friends they met at Erldunda Roadhouse and Ayers Rock Campground. So we swam with them, the kids played in the sand and I chatted to the mum. Josh wore flippers this time and was having a great time catching the waves in.

We went back to the caravan for lunch then a quick trip to Target to see if we could replace Bronte’s Broken DVD player.

We then went back to Cable Beach for a pre sunset camel ride. Josh & I were on the first camel called Abbasim and he is 19 years old and the friendliest. Rog & Bronte were on the second camel called Kadesh and he is 18 years old. They have a special platform to get on and off the camels so the camels don’t have to sit down (which is a shame as I think the best bit is when they stand up and sit down!). We were then lead down Cable Beach for 30 minutes and it was very relaxing.

The kids then had another swim and Rog had to go in as Josh lost a flipper but luckily I found it as it got washed into shore.

We then enjoyed watching our first sunset on Cable beach and it was a beautiful way to end our day.

We went back to the caravan for showers and dinner.
