We had a long 6.5 hour drive from Arendal to Jørpeland today. Luckily the scenery was absolutely incredible so it wasn't a boring drive! There were so many lakes (a lot of them were frozen lakes), snow everywhere, cliffs, waterfalls running down the cliffs, and lots of trees. We stopped for lunch along the way at Fjotland overlooking a lake (and right next to a church and cemetery) and had noodles that we made this morning. Towards the end of the drive, we caught a quick car ferry from Lauvvik to Oanes. The ticket lady thought there were 2 passengers so we corrected her and said there were actually 3 but she still only charged us for 2 - we think she thought there was a child in the back!! It was a short drive from Oanes to Jørpeland. Our Airbnb in Jørpeland was amazing with a great view over a huge lake! Once we were settled we drove into the town to get some groceries for dinner. Kate then made a bread and butter pudding to use up lots of our bread that was going stale! We had fish pie with veggies for dinner followed by the pudding then we played a few very competitive games of 'Backpacker'!
