ONE NIGHT, ONE NIGHT,MMMMMMM ONE NIGHT IN HEAVEN (?) M PEOPLE

More like a night of hell!! I checked out my hostel at 9.30 am yesterday , went to the airport at 4pm and stayed at the airport all night. the shuttle bus driver told me to go up to the domestic lounge as it has comfy sofas and right enough there was a selection of comfy leather slouchy sofas (even if they were strategically placed next to the kiddys area - grr). I finished my second book at 8pm and the security guys told me and a few other stragglers to leave the domestic lounge. It was like hearding sheep - we kept getting settled and then they would come along and herd as along a bit more. they eventually herded us into a small patch on the floor right next to the front doors in the arrivals depo. We werent even allowed to sit on the seats! I was a bit shocked at the way they treated at us. It was great all these people were arriving and they all had a good chuckle at us 'travellers' lying on the floor.

What made it worse was that they were playing really horrible love songs throughout the night so it was near impossible to sleep through it. Every now and then there would be a booming security announcement or the security officers would come and wake us up and tell us to move down a bit. It was absoluely freezing but luckily this australian guy gave me his mountaineering coat to sleep in. he said it was colder than sleeping on the glaciers!!

I finally got into sydney this morning and i now have a 9 hour wait until i get a bus to albury. i cant wait to see paul gem will and isla, it should be good fun! Then im off to see my folks straight after the wedding - also quite exciting!!
