HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2007, SCARY BISCUITS!!!

I hope everyone has had a great new year!! It will be 4 am back home so i'm sure there will be a few of you still standing!! Heard the weather is bad with you.

Met up with gem, katy, jen and her boyfreind at macquarie point to watch the fireworks. It was really nice to catch up if not a bit surreal! The guys managed to get a terrific spot right at the front because they got talking to this burmese family and they gave up some blanket for us, i arrived later. The burmese family had been there since 5am to secure their spot! The kids were really cute (only those kids mind, not kids in general)!.

We sat all day and had nibbles and some wine until dark. it was a bit of a con because you couldn't take booze in and glass was forbidden - however, the wine bottles they sold where glass!! Space was tight, every bit of concrete taken which made getting to and from the toilet/bar lots of fun in the dark!!

There was fireworks at 9pm and then again at 12 - my pictures are rubbish but i don't think you could really capture just how good these fireworks were anyway - they were amazing! We got told off by these japanese tourists for standing up at the bells - obviously never been to scotland!! We just ignored them though. There was a severe lack of new year cheer afterwards - not one was kissing or hugging or cheering - except us! It took us 2 hours to get to gems and by the time we did we were all knackered and went straight to bed.

I'm just chilling today, verona is cooking later and i think we will just watch some dvds. Tomorrow night we are going to see 'the bees' which i am really excited about!

Well anyways, hope you all have a stonker of a night and not a stonking hangover!
