Well all moved in and very settled now in my little apartment. Just trying to accessorise and out the finishing touches to it and make it feel really like home. Today led me up to the Great Wall at Mutianyu...we did try to go to another part but it was closed due to restoration as parts of the wall were falling down. The part that I climbed was very very steep and was the only person out of my group to go on to the steepest point which is a little sad really but everyone else appears to be scared of heights any need at all. Well pooped in to the Lama Temple today and got told of for taking a photo of Buddha so had to delete that pic....any need, this buddha was like 38ft tall and made out of one large piece of sandalwood apparently. It was very peaceful there and I had a lovely sit with the monks who appear to be very trendy in china with nike's and nokia's. Very pleasant people though and so gentle. So week 3 of living in China and what can I say apart from I am loving it although I do miss the family and friends but lets be realistic here....they have no excuse not to come and visit me in Beijing. Well I have found a driver, he doesn't speak alot of English in fact none, i know more Chinese words than he knows English, however he is taking me up to the Great Wall this weekend and hopefully when I get those visitors he will be taking them to places as well....
