Williams Lake - my home for so many years! We camped at the Stampede Grounds and used our new screen tent for the first time. Great for trapping bugs inside!
We went around town acting like tourists (we are!) and saw the sculptures and murals along with a visit to the Visitor Centre - built by Pioneer Homes of Timber Kings fame. Also had a bite at the Laughing Loon Pub. More Timber King's craftsmanship evident throughout.
Enjoyed a couple of meals with my former (never old!) neighbours, Pete and Tilly. Had a nice afternoon with Darlene and Bill and also stopped at the cemetery to do more gardening, this time around the stone for my first husband, Ken.
On Wednesday, I left Pat on his own and had a girls' lunch with some former work colleagues - Loreen, Judy and Sharon. Great to see them again and catch up a bit!
Of course, our time in Williams Lake passed very quickly and it was time to be on the road again. We are headed for Ten Mile Lake, then on to Prince George.
