Thought we’d have a more relaxing day today so didn’t rush too much this morning. Caught up with emails, did some printing to keep us up to date with our crosswords (thanks Chris) and did some washing. We have a tiny front loader which I’m sure we’ve almost worn out during this trip! The whole caravan shakes when the spin cycle starts. After this excitement was over we headed for the Strand, an area along the foreshore at Townsville where there are various eateries located and a nice foreshore walk. There was also an ‘art’ exhibition along the Strand with fantastic works such as pillows stacked on top of each other and arranged in a circle on the sand and odd things dangling from trees. I stopped reading the interpretive panels after the first couple! We had a bite to eat from one of the cheaper establishments then drove to the Townsville Aquarium where we had an enjoyable afternoon learning about the reef and all the nasty things that live there that can kill you! Bought a few supplies on the way back to the van as we are heading south again in the morning!
