We woke up to warmth for the first time in ages and all the kids got dressed in shorts and t-shirts! I wasn't quite that brave but it was nice to shed a few layers and have breakfast sitting in the sun. We spent the morning completing schoolwork. It feels as if we are reaching the end of the year's syllabus for everyone and the next few months will be spent recapping areas of weakness!! We had lunch and then went out to see Tia Falls. The drive out to the Falls was very pretty, as we passed lots of paddocks full of baby lambs and calves. Driving home we passed a little calf (and future steak) that had escaped the fence and we were tempted to take him home with us!! The walk around the Falls was great but much shorter then the walks we have been doing lately (much to the kids relief!) so when we got back home we parked the car and walked into town along the river to get some fruit. Back at the van, the kids ran off and made friends with two boys that had just arrived while Nick and I did some cooking. We spent the evening zoned out in front of the TV - it's amazing how tired you can get doing so little!!
