Woke up fairly early to another sunny day and had coffee outside before we began to pack up. It didn't take very long but we took our time and we were on the road by 10.30am. We drove along the coast and reached Tathra around lunchtime. Matty needed the toilet so it seemed a good idea to stop and have lunch. We parked in front of the playground and the kids had a play while Nick and I took it in turns to check out the beach. The Surf Lifesavers were on patrol on the beach but there weren't too many people swimming. A poor lady was taken by a shark here just a few weeks ago so maybe it's put too many people off! We found a Swiss bakery and everyone picked a pastry before getting back in the car. We drove through Bermagui and reached Wallaga Lake around 130pm, where we found a caravan park on the Lake offering 5 nights for the price of three - it's further out of town then we realised but worth it for the price. The park is full of permanent vans but its virtually empty. We have a spot on the lake and after an hour or so Doris and Joerg rocked up and parked next to us. We spent an hour or two catching up and then went for a walk to the ocean, where the boys collected a lot of wood for a fire. The park provides fire pits so once we got home Nick and Joerg prepared a fire and after dinner we sat outside and chatted until bedtime. We fell asleep to the sound of the lake's gentle waves until the speedboat went passed at full throttle!!
