We did not need to check out of the room and take the shuttle to the ship until noon. We had not yet seen the Arc de Triomphe. Looking at the map we decided it would be a nice morning walk. It only took about 45 minutes to walk there and was well worth it. It was a little busy but not too bad. We stayed there about 15 minutes and then walked back to the hotel to clean up and pack. We joined about 20 others on the bus and took the 30 minute ride to the ship which is docked in the little suburb of Le Pecq. Viking does not yet have permission to dock their Longships in downtown Paris. Local authorities are concerned that because they are so long, they may have problems turning around there. They had the lunch buffet waiting for us complete with the complimentary wine and beer. We unpacked and walked around town for while before heading back to the ship to get some rest. I took a quick nap and Bonnie is still sleeping. I'm in the lounge and my camera is back in the room. I'll try to upload some pictures tomorrow. We are going to rest (and eat) for the remainder of the day - we have a busy day tomorrow.
