This will be short. We are having much too much fun. We got into Bratislava, Slovakia around 2:00. We went with about 10 others to visit a Slovakian family in a village several miles out of town. It was fascinating, especially talking about their life before and after the communists. Anna makes pottery in the house and also works in a nursing home. Her husband works for Volkswagen. We then came back for dinner. I hate to sound like an advertisement for Viking but the so far this has exceeded all our expectations. The chateaubriand dinner last night and the veal I had tonight were among the best meals I have ever had. Bonnie's scallops and salmon dinners have been similarly wonderful. Wine and beer are complimentary during lunch and dinner and they never let your glass get empty. Tomorrow we have a full day in Vienna. We are doing a city tour in the morning, then going with the chef on the subway to the market where he buys his fresh produce, and finally going to a classical concert in the evening. Time for night night.
