Wayne's & Bonnie's Travels
Today we visited Cobh, Ireland which is pronounced Cove. It is hard to believe that this is the 29th and last city we have visited in Europe. Time does go by so fast. Cobh is the port city for Cork. It is a quaint town with multi colored cottages running up steep hills. We took a three hour walk around town, visiting a Titanic memorial and a gorgeous Cathedral. They were having their annual flower festival – the flowers in the church were amazing. It started to get cooler and it looked like rain so we found Kelly's Irish Pub. Two hours and three pints later we found our way out. The 1st two pints were Guinness. They had a fabulous Irish singer and I noticed he was drinking a Beamish. It is an Irish Stout and I ordered one – it was like syrup and delicious. On our way out, the singer gave Bonnie a big hug. He was a former welder and Bonnie is still sore. We now have three sea days before we get back to North America in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
