Exactly 2 months ago today, we left the car and van in Perth and flew back to Sydney so Renee & Eamon could finish off the school year. After many days of Christmas festivities, today we were very excited to be flying back to Perth to complete our outback loop over the next 4 weeks. We were awake at 6am, in the taxi to Sydney Airport at 6.45am and on QF575 at 8.10am with just an overnight bag each (and no school work thank goodness!).
Carol picked us up at the airport and drove us back to Raphael Road, Bullsbrook where the rig has been stored. We took a while getting organised but with the time difference, it wasn't even midday, so we weren't in a rush. The car battery was flat as a tack, so we needed a jump start from Alan and we were on our way.
We drove towards Perth and into Karrinyup Waters Caravan Park - it felt weird being back here again - like a time warp! We were allocated a great little corner spot not far from where we were last time and nice and close to the jumping pillow. Once we'd setup and unpacked, we headed down the road to the IGA to stock up on supplies and have some lunch/dinner (Perth/Sydney times!). With the time difference and our very long day with an early start, we skipped dinner and had an 'early' night.
