Renee & Mum enjoyed the Bootcamp the other day so much, that Ella from Cable Beach Club Resort invited them back even though we weren't staying there! So off they went for an intense 40 minute workout on Cable Beach at 7am with about 6 other crazy holiday people. Bonus was that camel feeding was up the beach so Renee got to feed a lovely camel a green apple, which he loved, although he also had about 10 other apples and 25 carrots as well!
Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm has a Gallery in Broome, and they open 2 shells every day at 11am - Jacko was very knowledgeable, and the 'operation' to extract the pearl from the shell was fascinating and well worth the visit. The pearls were still very expensive however - in the thousands of dollars!
Our next very interesting stop was the Broome Historical Museum - there was mountains of memorabilia, stories, videos on things such as the telegraph cable from Indonesia to Broome, the Japanese Bombing of Broome in 1942, pearl diving in the area, the dinosaur footprints - we were there for about 90 minutes - a fantastic place to visit.
We had to visit the Post Office again today (we finally received our mail delivery yesterday), to send some of our souvenirs and winter clothes back to Sydney. Once that was done, we spent some time at Cable Beach - the water was absolutely beautiful.
In the evening we spent a good while chatting to Nanna & Vincent on Skype so that was a bonus - a nice steak dinner on the bbq, and that was our last night in Broome!
