Day 45! We went on a tour to Alcatraz Island, which was so interesting. We got a walking tour up the hill explaining the history of the island, and then a self guided audio tour of the cell house. There was even an ex inmate in the gift shop autographing books, which is crazy! He was 81 years old and had only got out of prison 4 years ago. When we got back to San Fran we went to pier 39 for lunch/dinner at a beach diner, then wandered around there looking at the shops and went to see the sea lions that are resident there. We came back to the hostel and got ready for a night out, and went to a club called Infusion which was pretty fun. L x
