Day 50! The last stop on our trip was Seattle, albeit just the airport on our way home. Can't believe that's the end of our trip! It's been the most amazing trip - we've blagged our way into Microsoft parties, surfed in the Atlantic ocean, been to the Bahamas, seen aligators in the bayou, sea kayaked in the Pacific, partied with Will Smith in Vegas, seen the 'eighth wonder of the world' and feared for our lives in San Francisco. It's been just incredible! L x

Day 49! So... There was an earthquake last night. I was rudely awoken at 3am with crazy shaking and a noise like a train was passing right underneath us, and I thought Julie was jumping about on the bunk above me! Haha. Day 48! By the time we got ready to go anywhere today it was pretty much the afternoon, and we went to a wee square which had really cool shops and cafés made out of reused shipping containers. Our hostel roommate had recommended we go there to try this ice cream shop called Smitten which makes each scoop there and then for you using liquid nitrogen. Day 47! We went to Chinatown and got a free tea tasting - we got to try jasmine, poer (?), green tea with roasted brown rice and chai. That was pretty cool! We then met up with Julie's friend Lauren and went for lunch still in Chinatown before heading to the crookedest street in America on Lombard. It was so so steep, the hill is at a 45 degree angle. Day 46! We had a lie in this morning because we were out last night, then went to a Mexican place called El Super Burrito for lunch, which was pretty nice and it was cheap! We then went to Berkeley on the subway, which is about half an hour away from San Fran and so much nicer and warmer!
