Day 4! We couldn't leave New York City without getting a proper bagel, so we met Daniela and she took us to Ess A Bagel for breakfast. There was a pretty private park near the bagel place that we are our breakfast next to a waterfall, it was so cute! Really good bagel but they put enough cream cheese on it to feed an army. Day 3! We started the day with another fruit salad and a pastry from Savoy Bakery, before heading to the 9/11 memorial. The memorial was really nice, a great tribute. We then walked around downtown to see Wall Street and to the Southport Seafront. The Southport was great, last time I was here it was was water damaged from hurricane sandy and nothing was open, but now it's a lovely courtyard with shops bars and cafés. Day 2! The hostel has a fruit market next door so we bought fruit salads for breakfast and headed to Central Park to hire bikes. Yep, first day in 'Murica and we're off to a healthy start! We cycled around the park for a couple of hours which was really fun, managed to see so much more of the park on our bikes than if we walked - the place is huge!! Day 1! I slept very little on Sunday night because I was so excited about the graduation trip that we've been planning for over 2 years had FINALLY ARRIVED! Woke up at 3.30am, and headed to the airport to meet Julie for our 6am flight to Paris CDG. We had a 5 hour layover in Paris, which sounds bad but was actually pretty cool.
