Wednesday 19th April Taught class to make shortbread. Had a lil snooze cause it was boiling, then headed to back to the Hyatt with Aman. Got a yummy lunch at Little Italy- think they were surprised to see us during the week for lunch. Went back to hotel to chill out and chat then went for cocktails. The conversation seemed to involve danger in traveling, rape abuse etc- not exactly cheery. One of the teachers from DPM invited me to a debate on the Davinci Code in her church that night. It was out of KK so I needed to get a taxi after cocktails. I hitched a cab outside but once inside, I gota weird vibe from the driver, and he had no idea where the church was, even though I had the address. And after the convo we had had over cocktails, I just changed my mind and got out the cab- didn't really wana go off in the cab on my own in the dark when this guy didn't know where he was going. I'm sure it was perfectly safe- but everyone always says, especially when they're traveling- "if you get a bad vibe, get out of there", so I did. I gave the woman a call and apologized profusely. Aman and her family were surprised to see me back up at their room but were really cool and poured me a couple of drinks. We sat and chatted loads and Aman's mum ordered room service. Was another nice, relaxing night, and we got to bed pretty early again.
