Little Kirsty Ventures to Pastures New
Finished Gran's packing and went for a little strole along waterfront- a bit seedy there though. Although, there's some really cool fishing boats lined up. But there's also the Filipino illegal immigrants.
Headed to airport to wave Gran off, seemed like the week had whizzed by.
That night we met up with Georgie cause me and Mum invited her to stay with us for a bit. She's been feeling really awful recently- feel so bad for her. She constantly feeling really sick and she's on antibiotics at the mo. So she slept in the spare bed and joined us for cocktails with Aman's family.
Turned out Aman's mum got on pretty well with me mammy and we all had a lot to talk about.
We headed out for yet another delicious meal at Little Italy, the manager must be thinking we don't have homes to go to! Afterwards, Aman, Jade, Georgie and I headed to a café to meet up with some of the working deaf. I was gutted when they welcomed me by saying I'd put on weight- I was like, em thanks. So that's it- Aman and I are majorly hitting the gym! They were friendly as always though and it was nice to have a proper convo with them all without nudging Aman too much to ask her what signs meant. I think Georgie and Jade were a bit lost with it all though.
Forgot to mention that Jade was supposed to be spending the week in KL with Madlen but Jade was diagnosed with an ear infection, so couldn't fly- so Madlen went alone and Jade had to bum about in KK for a week. So we tried out best to make her feel a bit better- so she hung about at the hotel with Georgie for a couple of days, while I spent some time with mammy.
Anyways, turned out the waitress of the café was hearing, yet she knew sing language- not sure how. So she gave us a leaflet on a batik shop nearby. The art was made by deaf and dumb people so I was keen to check it out.
