Happiness Is The Road
I had a wonderful nights sleep in the Bush. I woke up really early, about half 5, to the sound of the bush and loads of birds. I think my bladder also woke me up so I extricated myself from my sleeping bag and flip flopped over to the amenities block. I'd got up before the flies, it was bliss with not one single fly pestering me. The camp looked beautiful in the early morning light and on my way back to the camper I saw a solitary kangaroo skip past but no emus! I went back to sleep for a bit, but by 8 when I got up proper the flies were back with vengeance! I opened the fly wire windows but had to have breakfast indoors today. Although I'm sure they meant well I didn't need the flies help! After brekky I went on the nature trail around the camp. It's a 1 kilometre trail through the bush in the camper for the hour ish drive back to Albany. I needed food and petrol so was glad to see a Woolworths supermarket with fuel on the way in. I got everything I needed here and then just sat in the camper in Woolies car park for ages updating the blog and other internet stuff. I didn't think that my destination later, Cheynes Beach, would have an internet signal so thought I'd better do all t'internet stuff now. That done I drove back through Albany and on to Cheynes Beach, about a 40 minute drive east of Albany, which it turns out did have an internet signal. The camp site was quiet and not far from the beach. I just chilled the rest of the day and watched all the kangaroos when they came out to eat the grass a couple of hours before dark. Not a really interesting one today folks I'm afraid. Had an early night as I've a long drive tomorrow. Nite nite my kuddly kangaroos!
PS Song of the day today is Follow The Sun by Xavier Rudd who's an Aussie.
'So follow, follow the sun,
the direction of the bird,
the direction of love'
I'll keep following the sun, to Adelaide and Jay.
