Happiness Is The Road
We awoke to lovely weather again and a view of all the sheep grazing in the field. We went to the showers having blown our noses first! Now we hate being subjected to aggressive nose blowing as much as the next person but we also hate being subjected to the sound of breakfast TV being blasted through the shower wall. It's a vicious circle I suppose as the TV is needed to drown out the nose blowing which would otherwise drown out the TV. It's a no win situation! Whilst we were having brekky we were visited by Trixie the dog and the cute lambs. This was a lovely place and we would have stopped another night if it hadn't been for the inconsiderate 'sheep'. On the drive out through the hordes of sheep one of them took a **** right in front of us. It was definitely the right move to leave today! We drove to Margaret River to get some food and then made our way to Hamelin Bay. It was overcast now and threatening rain. We had a look at the beach which was full of weed and unfortunately didn't look it's best today. Our plan had been to stop at Hamelin Bay Caravan Park tonight but this wasn't to be. There was no internet signal here and we needed it tonight so it was decided that it was back to Augusta we must go. Hamelin Bay was just not meant to be as this was now the second time a stay here had been aborted. We chose a different caravan park in Augusta this time, Turner Caravan Park on the banks of the river, and checked in. We were lucky to get a brilliant spot right on the water's edge with a great view. We settled in and then went for a mooch along the river bank and saw pelicans on the water. We had some fun on the outdoor gym equipment, had a laugh swinging on the swings and I took a yellow boat that we stumbled across out for a spin. It was brilliant with the wind in my hair, the spray in my face, the exhilaration of the speed, the sheer thrill of it sent me into a frenzy! It felt great to be back in Augusta.
