Happiness Is The Road
It had been a wet night. After brekky we left an overcast Nannup and hit the road. We were heading back to the coast and to Augusta where the Southern Ocean meets the Indian Ocean. Soon after we left Nannup the black clouds got blacker and it absolutely hammered it down nearly all the way to Augusta. The scenery as usual was very green as the road took us through some bush but mainly farmland and fields full of wet sheep. After about an hour we were in Augusta and it felt good to be back here. It's a really lovely town where the Blackwood River that we'd camped next to last night emerges into Flinders Bay and then into the Southern Ocean. We went straight to the caravan park that I had stayed at back in November, Flinders Bay Caravan Park , and found it to be very quiet. All we could hear was the sound of the waves breaking onto the beach only a few metres away. There were only two other campers there. We got a lovely secluded spot and chilled out for the rest of the day.
