What are the chances of bumping into a running partner on a long run - traveling in opposite directions along the South Bank - just when one could do with a lift? Well whatever the chance is - it was and I was very pleased to bump into Gerald steaming his way up the Thames. He was training for the London and was running 3 hours, but he was kind enough to escort me home, at a much gentler pace than he desired I'm sure, from Tower Bridge. A most pleasant and welcom...

It was supposed to be a day of rest today but I've been following John Bishop and his incredible bike from Paris to Calais, row from Calais to Dover and run from Dover to London and decided the least I could do was run up to Trafalga Square to welcome him home and say well done. £1,660,000 to date. Well done John! He only cycled 185 miles, rowed 26 and ran 90 in 5 days.....we will be running 860 miles in 29 days - got to be worth a tenner....

With just 8 weeks to go (56 days) I thought it was about time I sung the praises of the best running club in the world - Blackheath & Bromley Harriers AC. A finer, more talented, totally supportive (even to such nutcases like us), generous (with time, talent and finances) friendlier bunch of running mates you couldn't find. No I'm not after anything (or being paid) just think it's time we let you know how wonderful you all are and how much we value the club.....

Another beautiful day. Took a long run up to Tower Bridge, left along the North Bank - up through Trafalgar Square - down The Mall (closed to traffic) up to Hyde Park, back to Buckingham Palace, a lovely run through St Jame's Park, Horse Guards, Parliament Square then back over the river, along the South Bank and back home via Tower Bridge - just beautiful. I get such a lot of energy from the River! It's such a privilege to be able run through the Sights of Londo...

Such a beautiful day 18C Blue sky, sunny no wind - beautiful! Ran up to London Bridge to spend some time with those wonderful people in the Cure Parkinson's office. Gave me an opportunity to meet new team member Anna, touch base with Theresa and Helen and pick up some collection boxes for a couple of pubs that are fundraising for us. JT in Budapest enjoying -4 and icebergs in the Danube!! Oops....
