The day of trees.....Left Albany for Pemberton today. Stopped at the Valley of the Giants tree top walk. In between Denmark and Walpole, a 600m walkway that rises 40m above the forest floor. Amazing to be walking amongst the canopy of these enormous trees. Arrived in Albany yesterday and again were overwhelmed with people and cars! Decided to stay in Middleton Beach, just out of town but a great caravan park right on the beach. The weather has been perfect and the lure of a swimming pool was too much to refuse. Revived after a relaxing day, today we visited the National ANZAC centre and the surrounding Heritage Park. Big driving day today. Away from Lucky Bay early and into Esperance to wander the foreshore. The esplanade is very picturesque and Tully loved the giant whale tail. On the road again with a few stops to break up the day. Lunch in Ravensthorpe before we went onto a free camp at Pallinup River. Here we camped right on the water with only a friendly fox to keep us company.

Left early yesterday from Fraser Range, saying goodbye to our friends as they planned to get past Esperance on a deadline into Perth. We stopped briefly in Esperance and were overwhelmed and stressed in a busy supermarket after little civilisation in the last two weeks. No travel today so we could relax and enjoy Fraser Range. Met a kelpie, who Tully decided to call Zoe, and strangely enough we found out later that her name actually was Zoe. She played the Sheep's Back Golf hole with us, Jarrod had a one over par with a 4 and Tully putted in like a pro.
