Today we did another trip from Albany to a historic whaling station nearby called Whale World which is the former Cheynes Whaling station turned into a museum. We got our tickets and then waited for the tour to begin of the whaling station. First the lady gave us a audio to listen to about how they used catch the whales and use them. Next we went into lots of different parts of the station including a shed that had been turned into a mueseum of three whale skeletons. The photo that goes with this blog is of Fraser with a pygmy blue whale skeleton. Inside one of the whales people found a giant squid had been swallowed whole. We also got to go on a ship that they used for whaling. The whaling station (Australia's last operating one) closed in 1978.
