After completing our NAPLAN reading and numeracy tests we get to the Post Office in time to post the papers back to Victoria. After lunch we travelled south to Learmonth Jetty for some fishing with our new rods and reels. We caught a range of fish including 10 whiting which Dad filleted for he and Fraser to crumb. After the test papers arrived in yesterday's we made a start on the Year 5 NAPLAN testing expertly supervised by Mum. It was a busy morning completing the English papers and we enjoyed a walk into town afterwards. Sad to be leaving the Ningaloo reef in a couple of days here's a picture of a jellyfish Dad took last week.

Today is the last day of the Ningaloo Whale Shark Festival and activities are located at the Exmouth Yacht Club near Town Beach. Things start with a number of races for kids on the beach which were fun and Fraser and I do well against the local kids. Then it's time for the main event for kids, a dig on the beach for cash totalling $1,000 with a $100 note the top find. Today we entered a 4.2 km fun run. Fraser finished 18th and I finished 28th from about 80 starters. In the Junior (U15) category Fraser came 6th for the boys and I was second fastest girl. We enjoyed the breakfast afterwards along with some barbecued prawns. The rest of the day had music and other performances on the oval, including motorbikes doing jumps and backflips off a ramp. We enjoyed some shopping in town (I liked Brumby's cafe best!) and booked a tour at the information centre for tomorrow. Fishing from the marina breakwall only resulted in some small angel fish and a few sand fly bites. But we got to use our prizes from the Shark Bay Fishing Fiesta competition which arrived in a courier truck today!
