Geraldton, Western Australia
A walk up the big hill in Geraldton to the HMAS Sydney memorial. A volunteer guide showed us around the different aspects of the memorial and the significance of each of the monuments. The HMAS Sydney was found after the Memorial was opened in 2001. All 645 Australian men died in battle with a German Mine Ship in World War 2. Later we went to the Museum which had lots of Information about the Batavia and HMAS Sydney. Dad was excited about new tyres on the car
