Day 9 (Day 4 in London):
We started the day at Westminister Abbey, a 15 minute walk from where we stayed. The church was beautiful and elegant, constructed in a shape of the cross. Basically, a place for prayer and worship and also, a place to commemorate many renowned British historical figures. Famous composer George Federick Handel was buried there.
We then walked through St James park towards Buckingham place. Multitudinous crowd of people gathered to try to catch a glimpse of the changing of guards. We saw them from afar as they marched away in tandem out of our sight. Thankfully, we managed to zoom in and take some pictures of the smart-looking soldiers.
We proceeded to Oxford Circus. Throngs of people filled the streets as it was a Saturday. As we walked along, we came across CHINESE food eatery, a small shop by the name of Noodle Oodle. I had my first Chinese soup noodle and Emma had mui fun. Though simple, it was thoroughly enjoyable as the food tingled our Asian taste buds, which had been dormant for about a week since we arrived in England.
After lunch, we caught the afternoon show - We will rock you. The setting was in a futuristic world where only one kind of music dominated and the rest of the others were disallowed and musical instruments were banned. Bohemian turned things around and brought the rock and roll music back. We were treated with some of Queen's songs throughout the show.
After the show, we went back to the hotel and had our dinner. After some packing, we took our showers and slept as we were going to wake up very early the following day, at about 530am. Whilst we looked forward to the dawn, we'd better get some good rest.
