Day 10 (Day 1 in Paris):
Today, most of the time was spent on the roads. We joined the Trafalgar tour and its coach picked us up from the Park Plaza Riverbank (London) at about 630am.
We had lunch on the ferry - the coach (and us) crossed the sea from England to France. The duration was about an hour and half and after we officially reached France, the coach travelled for another two hours plus before we reached Paris.
We joined the cruise which took us leisurely along River Seine as we admired the bridges, museums and other historical buildings. It was about an hour ride on the cruise.
Next, it was dinner near Champs Elysees; we had Mac Donald. A quick one and we took some pictures of the glorious Arc de Triomphe. We strolled along Champs Elysees for a couple of minutes and joined back the tour.
The tour guide then led us to a vantage location where we could see the Eiffel tower in its full resplendence. It was a spectacular view and quite a lot of people were there. At 9pm, the tower glittered and sparkled like diamonds, accentuating its great magnificence. It was a very romantic experience.
After that, the tour guide took us round its city and explained to us some of the iconic buildings and its history behind it. But both of us were so tired that we fell asleep halfway through it. At about 10pm, we finally arrived back at our hotel, Holiday Inn.
Paris, besides its culture, food and fashion, is a romantic place indeed. At least for me, it feels like it!
