Day 1:

It was the first day of our arrival. We were exhausted from the long flight.

Two strokes of unfortunate incidents happened. The first one being one of our luggage wheels came off slightly. And it was disappointing because this luggage had been sent for repair for than more one occasion. Well, not that it couldn't be used entirely, it'd just get a little cumbersome, having to push a luggage that was a tad tardy.

The second incident happened when we were refused the right to pick up our rented car, due to the fact that Emma wasn't able to produce her original driving licence (she had a photocopy of her licence though). We were upset with the lady who was so uptight in keeping to her stand, without considering that all our plans would be drastically affected.

Frantically, we searched for alternatives but in the meantime, we headed back to Heathrow airport to see if there would be any other ways which we could commute to Best Western Studley castle hotel.

Thank God. At the airport, we attempted to approach another car renting company. This time, a kind soul, helped us with the process without insisting that the licence had to be original.

After picking up the car, it was another two hours plus before we arrived at the castle hotel. We were extremely tired by then and after dinner, we bedded down at about 10pm.
