Actually began packing up at 5am! Having a large start meant that we were all ready to hit the road by 8am.
Again the roads were in great condition & the 280km or so was completed by early PM. The Portland Road road was a delightful drive thru the Iron Range NP. Getting to Chili Beach early was a good move as we got the LAST available campsite upon which we all set up camp. The site is sheltered by trees & being located back from the beach is well protected from the constant sea breeze (wind).
This is a great spot & looking forward to exploring the area.
Highlight today was the last 100km drive into Chili Beach.
