Aim was to get as close to Rockie as possible - reality was not very close at all. Glare was a problem & having lost my sunnies (again!) I developed a nasty headache & was soon looking for places to stop.
Carmila Beach was 6km off the highway so I had a look. Free camping extends for a km or so along the foreshore with camps quite secluded & protected. Found a nice spot & decided to stay.
The Free Camps book was right on the money as both here & Boulder Creek are listed.
Highlight was finding a great place to recover from a headache.
