Spanish Word of the Day - Bag -----> Bolsa
Spanish Phrase of the Day - Can I have a bag? -----> Me da una bolsa, por favor?
Today was an easy day. We went down to Tony's for lunch - ribs again. It's just a short walk down the via de La Loman to Hidalgo so it's convenient. We stopped by one of the few banks in town that will except/transfer U.S. cash into Peso's - I guess they're prone to robberies because there was a big Mexican guy standing outside the bank with a very large shotgun. He smiled politely, said "Hola" - so I guess we were ok to pass.
After lunch we dropped by Walmart to pick up some desserts for the Meet & Greet at El Dorado. We were keen to go to see some of the people that we met here a couple of years ago - wondering whether they would remember us or not. Sure enough there were quite a few friends that were still there in El Dorado and it gave us a chance to get caught up.
While in the clubhouse at El Dorado the rains came down (5:40 p.m.) - so the myth that it rains just at night is really not true. It's so weird to watch the storms move in from the east rather than the west - come across Lake Chapala and then hit hard. Luckily we were inside with all the food and drink so everything was great.
It was great to see Bernie & Terry who like to travel as much as we do. We shared a few travel stories and agreed to stay in touch. We came home early to prep for our dinner party tomorrow - Deb ended up borrowing some serving dishes from Catherine - what would we do without them? We've been hoping to have dinner on the patio tomorrow night so Deb's has rearranged the entire layout to accommodate the large dinner table - chances are that rain may rear it's ugly head about dinner time so we've got our fingers crossed.
