It's been 28 days or 672 hours or some 40,320 minutes that we've spent in PARADISE and we loved every minute.   We're definitely sad that this is over for now   We spent the night before last chowing down at our favorite restaurant in Ajijic......Tango.   This is by far the best place in town and at reasonable dollars.   When we got back to the house, there, on the sink was a bag of freshly made tamale's.   Ana Kabande had lived up to her commitment to make sure that I had tamale's before I left Mexico.  While we wondered how in the heck did she get into the house, we saw that we had left the screen window open just over the sink and voila - instant access.  Thanks so much Ana ! While we did have lots of time to enjoy the area, it didn't seem that we paid much attention to the shopping aspects for those obligatory NOB gifts.   Catherine again (she's an amazing lady) stepped in for the rescue and took Deb and I into Chapala to her favorite little spot....Alicia's so that Deb could pick up a few parting gifts.    From there it was back to the casa and my last game of pool up at the club with Barry (Fort McMurray) and Ken (Cleveland, Ohio) where they were introduced to a new game affectionately called Mexican Murder.    Deb & I and Don & Dale had been invited to John & Catherine's for dinner last night at their home (next door to Casa 50) for John's famous Stacked Tortilla's which is a New Mexico dish rather than a Mexican dish which consists of tortilla's, beans, chili, lettuce, tomato, cheese onion and likely more of John's secret seasonings......amazing.     Having come to know both John and Catherine for just a very short time, they are amazing people.  Just before dinner, John asked to say a prayer prior to chowing down on this great food.  What John said, I believe was from his heart, it brought tears to my eyes as to the things he said for Deb and I.   After dinner we learned a new game called Mexican Train, a very different game that uses domino plaques as the major playing pieces.  It's packing time today.  That should take all of about 10 minutes, after all how long does it take to pack my entire wardrobe of 6 pairs of shorts. Other than last night's dinner, long pants were not in the equation.  I'll definitely remember this for the return trip.     To all of you here in El Dorado, to all of you in Ajijic that we met during our travels - Deb and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our heart for opening our eyes to a new way of life here in Mexico.   We are very sad to leave our new friends, but we will be back.
