FARFRUMWURKEN
We arrived into Ensenada around noon today. I didn't expect to even get off the ship from what I had heard about from different sources but Deborah can be quite convincing.
We decided that we'd take the shuttle ($2.00) into town and do a little shopping. Our guide on the bus, Roberto was so convincing in his sales pitch that we decided to take the 4-hour tour out to La Bufadore. This is the largest marine geyser in the world and it's located on the Punta Banda Peninsula. Unfortunately nature determines the outcome - today the tide was out and the sea was calm so NO blowhole today.
We did find over 400 small Mexican vendors on the main road down to La Bufadore, conveniently located just were the bus stops.
It was a good decision in the end - we got to see some of the countryside and some nice ocean views along with some very good information on Mexico provided to us by our guide Ishmail (his father owned the 300 bus tour company) that I'm sure will be helpful at some point in the future.
Tonight we've got eight (8) of us booked into the Italian Specialty restaurant Sabatini's for Valentines Day. I picked up Deb a pair of black Onyx earrings for Valentines and I've arranged with the maitre 'd to deliver these under glass to Deb once we get seated for dinner. Success - she was surprised as this was a perfect match to the same Onyx bracelet that she'd bought on our last Mexican visit.
On the whole dinner was disappointing here as compared to Sterling's Steakhouse two nights earlier but that will be reflected on the Princess Survey that I'm sure to receive during the next few days.
It's our last night on board Sapphire so let the packing process begin - I need to get this to exactly 50.0 pounds so my carry-on luggage could be 100 lbs. to avoid the overweight charge.
Let the Packing begin.
