FARFRUMWURKEN
Puerto Quetzal – Guatemala
It was a quiet day here. No tours, no plans, just get off the ship and see what was ashore. I tried for wi-fi at one of the local restaurants just outside the port area, but no luck. Someone could make a real killing here if there could provide good quality wi-fi for the tourists. Everyone is looking for it and gets pretty frustrated in the process.
We ended up getting a nice silk table runner for $40US and a magnet as it was our first time here in Guatemala. The heat and humidity has been a little overwhelming. Close to 40C and 87% humidity makes it very close. Even on board some of the common rooms can't keep up. We have our room down to a nice and cool level, the only problem here is that when I go ashore, my camera lens fogs up and I can’t take pictures for about 20 minutes until everything gets equalized.
Tomorrow is Puerto Chiapas, MX and we’ll be making our way to town on our own.
