Day 374 (Saturday 13th December 08)

Moved on from the campsite and headed down the coast. Went out to Marsden Point which was pretty much just a big oil refinery and then through Ruakaka. Stopped in Waipu quickly and then at Mangawhai Heads. Hoped we would be able to find somewhere to stay the night around here but unfortunately didn't look like there was anywhere so carried on driving. Pulled over by a nice beach in the hot sun and made ourselves some lunch and then on our way again. A quick look around Warkworth and then through Matakana up to Leigh and to have a look at Goat Island. Packed up at Goat Island so went and found somewhere else to park up for the afternoon. Had something to eat later and went back to Goat Island to have a look when there was somewhere to park! Then carried on heading south towards Auckland. Ended up in Orewa and found somewhere to stay for the night that there was already another campervan.
