Day 346 (Saturday 15th November 08)
Woke up to a great view of the lake. Once we were ready got on our way along the Milford Sound Road. Spectacular scenery all the way up. Saw a few cheeky Keas along the way in a couple of the viewpoint areas. Nearly there you then have to go through a long tunnel which Em wasn't too keen on! Luckily it was still sunny once we arrived and wasn't yet raining. There had been a weather warning put out for 140mm of rain over the Saturday and Sunday so hoping we won't get stuck out there in the rain. Had a look around and couldn't afford the cruise so went for a walk as much as you could around. Then off to see how much the campervan park was. Decided it was too expensive and as the weather warning was out decided to go back down the Milford Sound Road and find somewhere else to stay. In the end took a while to find somewhere cheaper. On our way saw a load of trees on fire and the fire fighters trying to put it out. Ended up in Kingston which seemed a nice tiny village near to Queenstown. As usual used the power to study and uploaded lots of our photos. Got chatting to a nice couple from the Lake District who were out here for a year. Had something to eat and off to sleep hoping the trees won't fall ontop of us in the very strong wind!
