All survived the night and hadnt been flooded. we were all up early so we had plenty of time to drive on the beach and see everything that we wanted. First stop was Eli Creek. a freshwater creek that went into the sea. we walked along the boardwalk to the middle of the creek and the walked through the creek back to the beach. THe water was really clear and was nice to cool off in the water. NExt stop was Meheno shipwreck. THe shipwreck is right on the edge of the beach and with the water and the weather has rusted away. you arent able to walked in the wreck just have to look from the outside. Next stop was Indian Head which was right at the top of the beach. this is a rocky outcrop, we walked to the top to see fantastic views of the beach to the left and right. from the top you are also supposed to see Sharks (which prowl these waters and therefore arent able to swim in the sea) and rays. We saw a ray and a big turtle. After sitting here and having lunch and enjoying the views we headed to Champagne pools. THis was just around the corner from indian head but had to drive on very soft sand to get there. we had been warned that this is the area we could get stuck. we had already watched one group take three attempts to get up the road and they still hadnt made it. however we all got out the 4wd and Ollie (the german guy driving) took a massive run up, put his foot down and sped up the hill first time!!! Champagne pools are two huge rock pools, luckily the tide was coming in so there was water in there. went for a swim in there. we didnt stay long there as we had to drive back along the beach to our camp tonight before the tide came in. WE found a camping area fairly easily and one other group camped with us two. Todays weather was gorgeous and there was a nice sunset. a few dingoes around tonight. had good spag bol and garlic bread all cooked on our little stove again!! we able to stay up a bit later tonight but after a poor nights sleep the night before was in bed fairly early again!!
