We had contacted the tyre company in Broome and finally our spare tyre had arrived from Perth, so it was time to get on the road once again. Sad to leave such a lovely place as Langi Crossing but we certainly needed the tyre.
We arrived in Broome by lunchtime, we parked at the port, had lunch before going on a walk down the wharf. It was great seeing the ocean again, the pristine aquamarine colour waters was stunning. So many people were fishing off the pier with about 12-15 meters drop down to the water.
After the port, we drove to the stunning Cable Beach with the wide white sandy beach. Four wheel drives could drive the north end of Cable Beach. Whilst sitting there taking the beautiful scenery in, the camel train came along to commence the famous Cable Beach Camel Rides, 31 camels in total, a spectacular sight to behold.
A drive around town to get our bearings before we went in search of our accommodation for a couple of nights. We found Buckley's Bush Retreat (Fred this business is for sale - we thought this would be a new great adventure for you) about 10km out of Broome.
We hadn't paid for so long, as had been in so many great free camps, but this place was only $15 per vehicle per night and only a couple of vans here and heaps of room.
The next day we got the tyre sorted, did what all tourist do, went and checked out all the shops. Then back at camp and had happy hour with some of our neighbours.
