We stopped for the night at Millers Point and had been told great fishing. The rods were in all afternoon and Alan was up at the crack of dawn but still no bream. During the day Alan helped a guy get his tinny back on the trailer and he gave us mullet to fish with, but still no fish. Heaps of
flies at this campsite, we had to sit outside with our fly veils on.
The next day we drove down to Bremner Bay to check it out. We pulled up at the boat ramp and the bus was just swarmed with thousands of mossies. The weather was overcast and so after a quick tour around town (not a get deal of shops etc in this tiny seaside town) and the mossie problem we kept moving. The wildflowers into Bremner Bay were stunning.
As the semi finals were on Friday night we were in search of TV reception. Thinking we would get it at Ravensthorpe, we pulled into town and no tv reception. We drove out to a bush camp 4km from town and Alan had to listen to the footy via the radio and watch scores on the internet. Thank god, Hawks won.
