We stayed at Fig Tree Crossing rest area, north of Geraldton. During the night we had RAIN, yes another four letter dirty word. We had not had any rain since Coober Pedy, so thankfully it had stopped by the morning.
On the road early, as we had plans on going to the Geraldton Farmers Market. We arrived only to sight three stalls, so we went back to the rail station were there was a fruit and veggie stall set up. We got our fruit and veggies before heading into Bunnings. We haven't seen a large Bunnings store since Darwin and were having withdrawals.
After Bunning we went to the HMAS Sydney 11 Memorial, which is a fitting tribute to the 645 lives lost on the HMAS Sydney 11 in 1941. There is a wall of remembrance, which has all names of the sailors who lost their lives and the dome comprises of 645 stainless steel birds.
