After leaving Quilpie, we had discussed stopping the night at the Roadhouse at Cooladdi. We arrived here at 2.30pm, hadn't had any lunch and at looking at the camp area, we decided to stop for lunch at the roadhouse and then move on. We stopped at Bitter Springs for our last float, first thing in the morning. It was the best time as not many people there before 10am.
