This morning we headed over to the famous region of Milford Sound. We had originally planned to do the 3 day Milford Track walk, but it doesnt officially open till October and the prices can be a little shocking at nearly $400 each!! To do a walk! Getting our backsides in gear we have started to make our way south to Milford Sound. Stopping at Te Anau on the way for the night, which is a quiet little village that doesnt really have much going on. Plus we couldnt go much further as Dave now has contracted the dreaded Man Flu so it was a quiet early night and dosed up with a dvd.

Dave went for the mountain bike ride this morning with Dave, Ben didnt show up. The ride was great fun through tracks in the forest, some quite steep and narrow with lots of jumps on the way round (but we werent able to do them on the account that the bike wasnt the right type or otherwise we would have done, obviously! The ride back to town was a killer and will result in Dave not acutally being able to walk properly for a few days. In the afternoon we finall...

Ok, today, we both couldnt walk! Our calf and thigh muscles are killing us - as well as our heads from the night before. Dave seems to be a lot worse than Claire, especially how he is walking like John Wayne! Weather has gone naff aswell with it looking like it might rain, or even snow. We caught the 8am bus up to the Remarkables mountain, it was a good job we didn't decide to drive it with the steep cliff face drops and hairpin turns! We got ourselves kitted out in all our ski gear (very cool) and we had half an hour to pass before our first lesson.
