Woke up to rain this morning which is a little disappointing as we were planning on heading to Peel Forest, an area famous for huge trees, great scenery and walking. But with the weather being what it was, and Claire's throat is still quite bad so we gave it a miss. Dave now keeps thinking that he's traveling with Phyllis from Coronation Street every time Claire says something.

We made our way to Ashburton thinking it might be interesting, it wasn't o we continued to Geraldine. We checked the weather which confirmed that it was going to be this miserable rain for another 3-4 days. Great.

Nt being disheartened by the rain we wanted to make the most of it - we went for a look around the town, putting further use to our new expensive coats. Geraldine is a smallish place but has a few places of interest. It is known for making cheese, chutneys and chocolates. We wandered round sampling the cheeses and chutneys unfortunately the chocolate shop was closed. We also tried the local jams, deciding that Boysenberry is the new Strawberry for us! In the evening we holed up in the campervan praying that we would get better weather tomorrow.
