What a day!
I have had such a fantastic day here at Camp Kweebec!!!
Rose early with Miceala for an early gym session before all the kids were awake ( didn't go to sleep until about 2 am so me waking up early was payback)
And after a luke warm shower was ready to wake the girls. ( it was crazy because I have never had a properly warm shower and I was told today it was because you have to turn the shower to get warm water and visa versa)
We headed to breakfast which was great! Fresh bagels with cream cheese best ever! and all the girls went back to the cabins for a clean up and get ready for the daily activites!
The room is already superduper messy, I know my sister laura is messy, but this mioght even rival her efforts . . . but after a short clean up, they were off and hannah and I were handed our scedules for the day and headed off to video and photo the camp!!
It was so much fun! unlike others who have to do what the kids wanted to do, we could literally decide what we wanted to do for the day and go there and video it ( and of course get involoved!!)
So we started with shots of the new lake, beatiful and green, and so warm surpisingly, halfway through the snap shot session I decided I HAD to get some in water shots and jumped ( literally)
into kayak and went for a spin around! It was fairly unco and I was totally teased by all the lifeguard, Ben,sam, jack that is you! but a great way to cool off and get some extra cool shots!
After this little adventure we headed to the junior boys hockey and captures some live action, this followed with some basketball and running around of sorts.
quick lunch and we then had a tip off that the cooking school was making oreo balls and we absolutley HAD to capture this. It was great fun! all the kids seemed to really enjoy making the recipe, crushing the oreos, especially the boys, and decorating them in the end. I had to say, we had quite a few taste testers while we were at it!
After an explore of the horse stables and getting totally lost trying to find a soccer game we stubled accross the main manager of the camp, Greg, sorting out the BIG SLIDE. he said he needed someone to test the slied for the kids ( no rips, rocks at the bottem etc) and so hannah and I volunteered!
I had no swimmers so went in my clothes, it was so fun! They had to spray me first with the water as otherwise I would get stuck, and it was great!!
soaking wet and selling of pond water we took the last few shots of the day before retiring to our bunks.
Tonight is the dance which is very popular with the campers, especially the older ones!! our girls already have crushes which is very cute.we will see how it goes!
